A silent image of the artist’s thinking face is accompanied by his commentary, recorded after-the-fact, attempting to describe the unfolding narrative of his thoughts on the chosen topic of ‘goodbyes’. Down Time is an exploration of memory and the play between real and recorded time.
This inherently impossible task of reading, conjecture and remembering creates an intriguing dynamic between the congruity/incongruity of image and text and provides a hook for a fragmentary and elliptical approach to confessional storytelling.
